Katie HungCalgary PhysiotherapistMScPT, BScKin
Growing up in sports has led Katie to value an active lifestyle and all the benefits it can bring. Competing in club volleyball until high school, Katie has an understanding of the athlete’s competitive drive and the pressure they feel to perform well in sport. Likewise, she also knows that injuries can be equally devastating for those whose daily activities and hobbies are affected. Having dealt with injuries of her own, Katie draws from personal experience in her approach to treatment. Outside of work, Katie can be found travelling, bouldering, or out in the mountains camping, hiking, paddleboarding and snowboarding!
Graduating from the University of Alberta, Katie has obtained her Masters in Physical Therapy, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. Through the experience of both programs, Katie has been able to work with athletes, children, rural populations, and people with various neurological conditions and disabilities.
Katie believes that everyone should have access to quality treatment, where they develop an understanding of their injury and collaborate with their physio to create an effective treatment plan. She hopes to help people feel strong again and more confident in tackling their goals!
Katie is currently offering services in English and Cantonese
